Jonas Käckenmester M.Sc.

Architecture in Context

Jonas Käckenmester is a Berlin-based architect with a background in fine arts. He studied architecture at HafenCity University Hamburg, graduating with distinction in 2018, and received awards from institutions such as the BDA, BMBF, the Heinrich Tessenow Gesellschaft, and the Werkbund Berlin.

After working for Herzog & de Meuron in Basel and Berlin (2019–2023), he co-founded the independent project space Vorfluter in 2021 and has been teaching and researching at Leibniz University Hannover since 2023. In 2024, he co-founded studio kaefi Architekten, currently converting a historic farmhouse into a rural cultural center. In 2025, he co-founded the non-profit organization Atelierhaus Prezier 8, dedicated to architecture, art, and community.
